She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, known for her unwavering generosity and compassionate spirit. Neva dedicated her time to supporting elderly friends and neighbors, often delivering supplies, and sharing heartfelt moments. Her door was always open, ready to welcome anyone in need with a warm meal. Neva delighted friends and family with her famous carrot cake, a testament to her love and care.

Born and raised in Salem, Indiana, Neva was the beloved eldest child of Ernest and Gladys Simpson. Neva was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert and Orvil Simpson, as well as her great-grandson, Nathan Taylor.

A dedicated member of Winn's Baptist Church in Glen Allen, VA, for 47 years, Neva's faith was an integral part of her life. In her later years, she found joy and community at Calvary Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids, NC actively participating and embodying her Christian values.
