The Animal Control Officer, Mike Wimmer, is available Monday-Friday from 8am to 4pm. 
Animal Control handles calls about stray, mistreated, or neglected animals in Washington County.  To contact animal control, call the Sheriff's Department Dispatch Center at 812-883-5999.
Animal Control only deals with problems with domestic animals (Dogs, Cats, Horses, Cattle, etc).   If you have a problem with a wild animal (Coyote, Bobcat, etc) please contact Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) at SOUTH REGION 812-837-9536 to be referred to a Conservation Officer.
