Shieldstown Covered Bridge

The Shieldstown Covered Bridge located in Jackson County, Indiana was constructed in 1876. The Shieldstown bridge is a double span Burr Arch Truss and is 331 feet (101m) long and was constructed by J.J. Daniels.
The Shieldstown bridge measures 355 feet including the overhang. The bridge was removed from service in 1977. The Shieldstown Covered Bridge crosses the East Fork of White River. This bridge is located about one mile north of Crane Hill, which is on US Hwy 50 about five miles west of Seymour.
